Most accounting coaches sold their firm years ago. I still run mine. My name’s Ben Walker and I started Inspire Accountants in 2013, at 23, with a laptop and a borrowed printer. Everything High Performance Accountants teaches is running inside Inspire right now.
More than a decade on, Inspire looks after around 300 family groups of business owners and is recognised as a leading Australian firm. I still run it day to day.

Ben founded Inspire in 2013 believing firms could be run better, for clients, for the team, and for the owner. He’s since become one of the first accounting firm owners in Australia to put AI properly to work inside a real practice: dozens of systems handling everything from client queries to review work to tax planning prep. High Performance Accountants is where he teaches other firm owners to do the same, from the trenches, not from a stage.
We’ve gone through many stages of challenges, opportunities and growth. In 2022, I wrote a book outlining the 7 Steps I believe that make inspire a High Performance Accounting Firm, and how you could achieve the same results for your firm.
We’re bottling the gold – the systems and tools that we’ve spent ages developing, testing and refining (at each stage of growth). And we’re sharing that with other accounting firms who want to fast track their journey to become a High Performance Accounting Firm.
